Scope of organized session 1

We organize special session entitled: Nano-mega Scale Flow Dynamics in Energy Systems in the conference. Goal of this session is to trigger intellectual discussion among researchers and engineers working on transdisciplinary areas in energy conversions in terms of effective energy usage. Special attention is going to be paid to fundamental and applicational studies in various energy conversions, such as solid oxide and polymer electrolyte fuel cells, electrochemical hydrogen production systems, catalytic conversion and new concepts in combustion, reactive flows and fuel technology. The oral presentation is 20 minutes including discussion.

Invited lectures will be given by: Prof. Paul D. Ronney from University of Southern California, Prof. Stuart Adler from University of Washington and Prof. Toshihisa Ueda from Keio University. An special lecture entitled "A Pioneer Program to Develop Human Resources for Interdisciplinary Green Technology by Taiwan's Ministry of Education" will be given by Prof. S. S. Shy from National Central University, Taiwan.

Abstract submission

Please send your abstract by e-mail attachment to: icfd2007@21coe.ifs.tohoku.ac.jp no later than July 15, 2007 July 30, 2007. (The deadline of abstract has been extended until July 30, 2007.) Please indicate following information in your mail: Subject: Abstract for ICFD2007, (1) OS number (OS1), (2) Authors names (affiliations), (3) Title of presentation, (4) Contact person's name, regular mail address, e-mail address, and fax number, (5) Abstract (A4, 1 page). Acceptance of submitted abstract will be notified by August 10, 2007.
