IEEE International Conference on
Shape Modeling and Applications 2006

Hotel Taikanso, Matsushima, JAPAN

14-16th June, 2006

WELCOME TO SMI'06!

Shape Modeling International (SMI) provides a forum for the dissemination of new computational techniques for modeling and processing digital representations of shapes and their properties to a diverse community of experts across a wide range of areas. In 2001, SMI has merged with the Implicit Surface Workshop and is now run as an annual event alternating between Asia, Europe and America.
SMI addresses all aspects of shape acquisition, processing, retrieval and understanding. Applications of shape modeling cover image synthesis, medicine, biology, botany, motion picture, special effects and videogame production, as well as Computer-Aided Design, manufacture, and engineering.

SMI this year is co-located with the two international meetings:
Third International Symposium on Transdisciplinary Fluid Integration (TFI-2006)(12-13th June)
AIM@SHAPE First International Workshop on Shapes and Semantics (S&S2006)(17th June).

Related event: SHREC-3D Shape Retrieval Contest.
Call for Participation is available from here. The contest results will be presented during SMI'06.
