Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University has been promoting international cooperative efforts, as a center of fluid science research since its establishment.
In 2010, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) selected our project of International Collaborative Research Project for Expansion of Next-Generation Fluid Science as its “Young Researcher Overseas Visits Program for Vitalizing Brain Circulation”.
We send seven brilliant young researchers on six world-leading institutes overseas from 2011 until 2013.
Through collaborative researches, we develop further international network.
Young Researcher Overseas Visits Program for Vitalizing Brain Circulation works to expand opportunities for young Japanese researchers to experience research at a high world level and to challenge various issues prevailing within the global arena, while forming networks with colleagues in overseas universities and research institutes. By supporting the overseas visit for young researchers who will engage in international research collaboration projects, the program seeks to advance science in Japan by vitalizing the international circulation of good brains.
Its target fields are all fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
