Hi!
This is Mehdi. The International Conference on Flow Dynamics (ICFD 2009) was held at Sendai from Nov. 4th to 6th.

From our laboratory 3 persons including me, Dr. Yabuki, and Mr. Takeda attended this conference. I attended the student session organized by 2 PhD students of Tohoku University, Mr. Takeda and Mr. Saito. Almost 60 students from different nationalities such as Sweden, French, Russian, Indonesia, Indian, Australian, Japanese, … had participated in this session.

It was very nice to see some friends again. I also had this chance to chat with some new friends and to have very fruitful discussions about our research subjects.

The good news for me was that my presentation was selected as the best presentation of the student session by the evaluation committee members and I was given the "Best Award" by Prof. Maruyama, the general chair of 6th ICFD. Mr. Takada was also given the "Outstanding Award" for his poster by the participants of student session, so we could bring two awards to our lab. That is greate!!!!!!!!!!!
