KATAHIRA Festival, the opening event to the pubric, was held on 10th & 11th Oct.

Our lab's attraction is Newcomen's steam engine & Magdeburg hemispheres.

We explained to people all of ages about science hestory and force of atmosphere.

From children to adalts, all people seemed to enjoy science playthings. The best actor was Newcomen' steam engine. (Only Sat.?)

I hope that "Maruyama's steam engine" will be displayed on KATAHIRA Festival after 300 years!!
