In the period between 23rd -25th May, International Workshop on Nano-Micro Thermal Radiation was held in Matsushima bay Area in Miyagi Prefecture. Many worldwide known scientists in thermal radiation and near field radiation have participated in this high level international workshop. Presentations were mainly focused on new and precise ways to predict the thermal radiation at nano/micro scales, near filed radiation and its daily life applications.


Gonome-san has given an oral presentation about radiative heat transfer about CuO selective coating. Tsurumaki-san and Abid-san attended this workshop too. The presentations were very rich of new knowledge and we gained a lot. I participated in the poster session. It was a good chance to meet many scientists, have discussion about my research too and getting valuable advices and comments about my topic.


Matsushima bay is the third most beautiful spot to visit in Japan. Everyone was impressed about the natural beautiful landscape. On the second day we went for sea cruising and everyone have enjoyed Japanese food and feeding seagulls.
