I went to help pet bottle rocket Delivery class which was held in Sendai City Yakata Elementary School on Tuesday, May 21.

In a deep blue sky and heat to let you feel the coming of summer, it was the great weather for launching bottle rocket .
First this event was started from the description of how rockets fly by Maruyama Sensei. Maybe elementary students could understand experiment of “Law of action and reaction” by B4-“Fuel Man”
We can explain why rockets fly by conservation of momentum to university students, but I felt it is difficult to explain and make understand it to elementary school students. In addition, I felt that they are so powerful! Cheerful greeting, the figure to work on rocket work at full power, I have to emulate them ....
Everyone in elementary school was as long as it is very pleasing appearance to start the rocket work under the student in each group, various child is devised. Teacher! Be called I feel very fresh.

Now everyone rocket was completed, I did a demonstration of the launch to set the schoolyard in front of them. Maruyama Sensei is the count, and say Zero! Everyone's rocket rise high in the sky, the figure which elementary students cheering while staring at your rocket was impressive. I am glad someone a very fun guys, if I have an interest in science in the wake of this. Science because so interesting.
