RAD13

Hello again, this is Tsurimaki.
The Seventh International Symposium on Radiative Transfer, also known as RAD13 was held in Kusadasi, Turkey on June 2 - 8. The symposium was taken place in Pine Bay Holiday Resort being located along the seashore of the Aegean Sea. During the whole week, the lectures and the presentations regarding the radiation transfer were given by many professors, researchers and students. According to the book of abstracts, this symposium followed the tradition of previous Radiation Symposia, dedicating the symposium to three outstanding scientists in recognition of their contributions to the international scientific community. In this RAD 13, one of them was Prof. Maruyama. This is AMAZING, we should be proud of it as the member of his lab. Not only the professor, of course, but the students of the lab showed their recent results in this symposium. Gonome-san gave the oral presentation, Abid-san and me did the posters. And? well, I'm pretty sure that you got the advice or the ideas such that these will progress your research further.

Let me write here my recent life in Lyon. Since it is the end of the academic year now in France, the students are leaving INSA for their home countries or their destinations of internship. As for me, I'm struggling with my overheating laptop in an overheating room (NO air conditioner!). I've never expected that le ventilateur given by Prof. Komiya saves all of us in my room at INSA.

I'm looking forward to seeing you at Sendai this summer. A bientot!!
