South Africa - Japan Bilateral Symposium

Hello,
I'm postdoctoral fellow, Okabe. I have just become African- continental guy finally!

I visited Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa with associate prof. Komiya from November 3rd to 9th. Prof. Kodama, graduate school of medical engineering accompanied us on this business trip as well. I really felt it was such a long way off after 1day long flight.

As you know,@Johannesburg is famous for one of the Z› city. As I know more about there, I came to feel weird which I haden't had that way in my daily life before. There was a university shuttle bus service basically, so I enjoyed international exchange without unexpected matters anyway.
Two days later, we moved to Cape Town where is famous for one of the sightseeing spot with resort-style townscape. It seems that European people go down to south to have summer in their winter season. I didnft know that I needed to give a 20minute-presentation there until I left Japan, so it had been busy preparing for it a bit, but I made it eventually!
Since our host made an excursion kindly, they took us to REAL African local places and nice restaurant like a movie. I enjoyed having wild steak there! I would not have an adventure like this in the future.

I had a lot of precious experiences this time. I would like to thank Prof. Kodama for giving me this amazing opportunity.
