ISTP27 in Hawaii
Aloha!! This is Kanda.
I attended gThe 27th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena (ISTP27)h, which was held from September 20 to 23 in Honolulu.
I made a presentation about methane hydrate in this conference. Prof. Maruyama, Prof. Komiya also attended this conference.
My presentation was smoothly made and had a constructive discussion with researchers of similar field.
Indeed, my experience from previous international conferences helped me a lot in doing such research presentation and discussions.
And in this conference I enjoyed very much the relationship with researchers and students of the other universities.
After the conference, I visited many beautiful places with professors, such as the Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Pearl Harbor and so on.
We enjoyed the sightseeing very much.
Additionally, we ate Loco Moco, which is the one of traditional foods of Hawaii. It was very delicious and indeed a very big dish!
In this conference, I learned a lot of things in Hawaii, not only about research but also the Hawaiian culture.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for Prof. Maruyama and Prof. Komiya for giving me this excellent opportunity.
