Silicon Quantum Dot Solar Cell

We integrate our concept of physics and engineering in nanoscale with novel nano-bio fusion techniques to launch new technologies in quantum world with sub 10 nm silicon nanodisks (Si-NDs) for high efficiency intermediate band and mulitjunction solar cells. We are now on a step to form a true quantum dot super lattice (QDSL) structure with 3D array of Si-NDs results controllable bandgap energy, highly optical absorption and conductivity. The work demonstrates with the fabrication and characterization of Si quantum dot solar cell, surface passivation of the QDSL, structural, electrical, and optical evaluation of the Si thin films and its nanostructures.
