Important Notice: The Banquet will be held from 19:00 to 21:00 in November 18 (Friday)
at the Ichinobo inn in famous Sakunami Spa. Sakunami Spa is located in
the countryside near Sendai city, where the chartered bus takes about 40
minutes from the Sendai International Center to Johgi and about 30 minutes
from Johgi to the Ichinobo inn. The Ichinobo inn is a typical Japanese-style
inn, which is quite different from a westernized hotel. So, we expect you
to enjoy typical Japanese culture during your stay there, which you have
never experienced before. But we have to tell you honestly the one problem
with which we have to face. The inn has no single room available in principle.
So, you are asked to share a tatami room (16 or 20 square meters) with
four or five scientists, who will introduce you to a Japanese culture,
such as kimono, futon, bathing and etc. In each room a private bath is
available in addition to the huge Japanese style public baths, including
three outdoor baths. The main reason is that a room shared with one person
costs more than double the regular charge. Since our financial situation
is very tight, we would like to ask for your consent to this matter. We
hope it won't inconvenience you much.
