Hello, I am Stephanie Rawi, an exchange student from Universitas Indonesia.
On February 9th I had my Junior Year Program in English (JYPE) final poster presentation.
I had submitted my abstract beforehand and on that day I stood in front of my poster and presented my
research. I was nervous because it was the first time to have a poster presentation.
Fortunately, Maruyama sensei, Komiya sensei and Dr. Okajima were attending and it really encouraged me,
thank you so much! Not to mention, I was also grateful that my fellow laboratory friends attended and gave me
support. I feel so lucky to have such a supportive atmosphere during my stay in Maruyama laboratory.
These four months of research life will be uninteresting without their warmth and wittiness.
Overall, I got a lot of insights especially how to conduct a good research with cross-cultural understanding.
Moreover, meeting friends from all around the world had broadened my vision about the diversity even more.
The lessons and experiences I earned in Maruyama Laboratory and Tohoku University were priceless and I am so thankful
to have this opportunity. Until we meet again next time and letfs keep in touch!
