ELyT School 2025 in Sendai

ELyT School 2025 in Sendai was held from September 1 to September 9, 2025, across multiple campuses of Tohoku University (Kawauchi, Aobayama, and Katahira).
Since 2009, the program has alternated annually between Sendai and Lyon, and this year marked its 15th edition. A total of 41 students—21 from the University of Lyon (INSA Lyon and Centrale Lyon) and 20 from Tohoku University—participated in the nine-day program, which offered a rich blend of academic and cultural experiences.

【Academic Program】
Lectures: Delivered by faculty members from both Japan and France, covering a wide range of disciplines
Student Projects: Collaborative research and presentations by Japanese and French students
Facility Tour: Visit to the cutting-edge NanoTerasu facility
Lab Tours: Visits to 10 research laboratories located on the Aobayama and Katahira campuses

【Cultural Exchange & Japanese Cultural Experience】
Multicultural Exchange: Interactive lectures on global learning led by faculty from the Global Learning Center
Japanese Cultural Experience: Hands-on Kintsugi workshop and a guided tour of the World Heritage sites Chūson-ji and Mōtsū-ji in Hiraizumi
