Professor Ju is the Robert Porter Patterson Professor at Princeton University, USA, and a Distinguished Professor (Visiting Professor) at IFS.<br \/><br \/>Prof. Ju delivered a lecture entitled &#8220;Electrified Manufacturing for Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization,&#8221; highlighting innovative manufacturing technologies utilizing electrical energy and non-equilibrium plasma to contribute to a more sustainable society.<br \/><br \/>During the lecture, Prof. Ju discussed the potential of novel chemical processes enabled by electrical heating and non-equilibrium plasma, particularly in the context of the growing adoption of renewable energy and the global transition toward decarbonization. He introduced a wide range of cutting-edge research topics, including plasma generation and chemical reaction control, plasma-assisted catalytic ammonia synthesis, material manufacturing and recycling, and combustion control.
