Conference Information
Tthe Sixth International Symposium on Advanced Fluid Information (AFI-2006) hosted by IAT/JAXA and IFS/Tohoku University will be held in Chofu/Tokyo on October 26 and 27, 2006. The subtitle of this symposium is Fluid Science Research in Interdisciplinary and Aerospace Engineering.
Scope and Topics
The term, "Advanced Fluid Information" (AFI) was created at Tohoku
University to signify the paradigm shift in fluid dynamics research (experimental,
numerical, or theoretical) and its application with the help of both distributed
and powerful computational technologies. The International Symposium on Advanced
Fluid Information has been held annually.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to
- Aerospace technology/ science,
- Biofluid science/ engineering, and
- High enthalpy, rarefied gas/ plasma.
This year's symposium seeks to identify future trends in fluid dynamics particularly
with reference to
- MEMS/ NANO technologies, and
- Biofluid science/ engineering.
