Visiting YSK Lab in IIS, the University of Tokyo

　1月30日に、東大駒場にある生産技術研究所の長谷川研究室（YSK Lab）を訪問し、熱流体に関する研究交流を行ってきました．発端は，長谷川先生と私がとある技術開発プロジェクトで一緒になり，学術的観点から色々と情報交換しましょうということになり，今回の訪問となりました．
　初めに長谷川先生からご紹介いただき，その後約1時間をいただきまして，当研の研究紹介講演をしてきました．YSK Labの学生さんたちは皆さん真剣に聞いて下さり，講演後の質問もたくさんいただいてしまいました．私の講演後は，3名の博士学生さんから研究紹介をいただき，色々と議論をさせていただきました．
　午後は，実験室を見学させていただき，あまりにもきれいに整頓され維持されている実験室に驚愕しました．当研も見習わなければなりませんね．YSK Labでは様々なスケールでの熱・物質伝達に関する実験的研究を進めており，当研に通ずるものも数多くありました．今後は互いの学生を交え，駒場と仙台でそれぞれ訪問する形で研究会を開催していくこととなりました．長谷川先生，学生の皆さん，ありがとうございました．


This is Komiya. It's been a long time. I'm posting on the website.
On January 30, I visited the Hasegawa Laboratory (YSK Lab) at the Institute of Industrial Science, Komaba Campus, University of Tokyo. There, I have been conducting research exchanges on thermal fluids. This exchange meeting was held because Professor Hasegawa and I were working on the same technical development project, and we decided to engage in academic exchange, which led to its realization.
The lecture began with a greeting from Professor Hasegawa, during which I was introduced. Following that, I gave a roughly one-hour lecture introducing the laboratory. The students at YSK Lab listened attentively, and I received many questions. Following my presentation, three doctoral students gave research presentations, and we engaged in various discussions.
In the afternoon, I participated in a laboratory tour. I was quite surprised to find the laboratory so immaculately organized. My lab must always be kept tidy like YSK Lab. At YSK Lab, experimental research on heat and mass transfer at various scales is being conducted. I felt these were a good fit for my lab. Going forward, we will invite students from both sides to participate and hold study sessions by visiting Komaba and Sendai.
