ELyT Workshop 2022
ELyT Workshop 2022 was held at INSA Lyon and Ecole Centrale de Lyon from November 16 to 18, 2022. This workshop has been held annually in Japan or France, and this 13th version of workshop was the first face-to-face workshop in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a total of 84 participants (29 face-to-face participants from Japan). The results of joint research between the University of Lyon and Tohoku University were presented and active discussions were made.
On November 16, a ceremony was held to award Prof. Toshiyuki TAKAGI the Doctor Honoris Causa title from Prof. Frédéric FOTIADU, president of INSA Lyon, in recognition of his contributions to the scientific community regarding non-destructive testing and evaluation using electromagnetic phenomena, as well as his dedication to building partnerships between Tohoku University and Lyon.
JSPS Core-to-Core Symposium was also held on the morning of November 18, introducing Core-to-Core program and featuring two invited lectures. Additionally, the inauguration of the Japan Room @ ECL confirmed the strong partnership between Tohoku University and ECL.
