Hi! This is Rameez, an M1 student. We had an Oikonn party, a party to see off students who are graduating this year, on the 27th of February. This year, a whopping total of 6 students will be leaving Komiya Lab and continuing their journey of life by contributing to society. The 6 graduating students including consists of 3 doctorate students, Ono-san, Koizumi-san and Fu-san, and 3 master’s students, Oiri-san, Gunji-san(aka Gunpi) and Narita-san.

Just like previous years, we enjoyed some food and beer as we laughed looking back at the wonderful events we had throughout the year. For gifts, each student received a shirt and a necktie with unique characteristics representing them, probably not very suitable to be worn to work.
The day would continue past midnight as we enjoyed our final days together. There is no doubt the laboratory would become a little quiet without them but we all are cheering them on as they look to contribute to apply their talents to society. We are all waiting for them to come visit the laboratory!
