1st Public Lecture Series

"Thoughts on Energy Today"

Toshiyuki Takagi
Innovative Energy Research Center

The Innovative Energy Research Center of the Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, in conjunction with its joint sponsor, the Tohoku and Hokkaido Branch of the Japan Society of Maintenology, will hold public lectures as outlined below for the purpose of revisiting energy issues from a multifaceted perspective and viewing Japan’s energy policies in a new light.

The lecture session has extended an invitation to Professor Ryuzo Yamamoto of Tokoha University to speak about Japan’s ideal energy policy considering the recent economic climate. Professor Yamamoto will be joined by Professor Hidetoshi Hashizume of Tohoku University, who will explain the new regulatory requirements that took effect in July last year in response to the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Entry into the lecture session is free so we welcome all interested to join us.
