Purpose of International Space University Dispatch Program

As an international research and education center of fluid science, the Institute of Fluid Science has promoted the development of young researchers who will be the global leaders in flow dynamics in the future. Every summer, Space Studies Program - International Space University (SSP-ISU) has the original educational program that approximately a hundred leading young researchers and students from 30 countries worldwide participate in, and it has the same educational concept as ours.
Institute of Fluid Science has been dispatching many students and young researchers to SSP-ISU since 1990, in cooperation with the Fluid Science Foundation, the 21st Century COE, and Global COE programs. To date, we have dispatched 30 students (including 5 females).Currently, 32 alumni were graduated from Tohoku University and are working for universities (7), JAXA (6), AIST (1), overseas space technology organizations (1), and private companies (15, including 3 in the space industry). They have made great achievements internationally.
Institute of Fluid Science will continue to promote the development of young researchers through the International Space University Dispatch Program.
