Our laboratory has continued developing the free-flight measurement technique
which measures datas such as aerodynamic force, pressure, and temperature
by using on-board data logger because test duration of our facilities is
too short such as several msec. As applied researches of this technologies,
we are conducting development of re-entry capsule without parachute (NASA
Collaborative Research) and research on dynamic instability of re-entry
capsule in transonic flow (DLR Collaborative Research).
Free Flight Measurement Technique
JAXA Kakuda Space Center
Our Laboratory researches in JAXA Kakuda Space Center which leads development
in rocket engines. Lately the center is also developing a future compound
engine and performes experiments of atomospheric re-entry.
Spacecraft Thermal and Fluids Systems Laboratory
Our laboratory is collaborating with Spacecraft Thermal and Fluids Systems
Laboratory, Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University.
