Alumni reunion held December 5 in Ginza

The 2015 Samukawa Lab alumni reunion was held in Tokyo on December 5, a day before Professor Samukawa was scheduled to fly to Washington, U.S., on the morning of the 6th.
Alumni reunion chair Sakamoto organized the party at Rangetsu Ginza. Eight members ? Messrs. Sakamoto, Masuda, Koyama, Daiki Sato, Matsunaga, Niimura, Okigawa, and Noda ? participated. They participated in warm interactions for the first time in a long while. Professor Samukawa was happy to hear about everyone's recent conditions. After the end of the party, he sent the following message to the alumni group. Also, Mr. Koyama of Tokyo Electron is planning the alumni reunion next year.

** To all alumni **

Thank you for a wonderful time in a long while. I am always encouraged and strengthened when I meet the alumni group. I feel I must work harder when I see how hard-working you all are. I want to expand the neutral beam that I developed with you to all nano devices, and expand it throughout the world. This technology has been highly praised overseas in recent years, and I'm moving forward with joint research with overseas institutions. Taiwan in particular has become an important base of activity. I have begun research with National Chiao Tung University and AIST, and have become quite busy. But it is still one step at a time to realize a global strategy. What I should do myself in the next ten years have become clear, and what's left is just doing those things. Let's drink, laugh, and chat!
