Professors Samukawa and Li give special invited talks at Hokkaido University (July 21, 2016)
At the invitation of Akihiro Maruyama, Deputy Director of Research at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology at Hokkaido University, Professors Samukawa and Li delivered lectures at the Graduate School's Special Summer Meeting.
Addressing graduate students studying nano-electronics and faculty members, the professors lectured on the effectiveness of neutral beam processes and band structure control of quantum dot devices. Their talks received many questions, and also confirmed strong ties with Hokkaido University in the area of compound semiconductors. The lectures clearly had a very significant impact.
Continued cooperation with Taiwan in semiconductors and nanotechnology being of utmost importance, Professors Samukawa and Li are making every effort to strengthen research ties between the two countries not only at Tohoku University but at other universities as well.
