Dr. Samukawa visited MIT and interacted with University of Tokyo Professor Emeritus Wada (July 27, 2017)
Dr. Samukawa visited Boston after participating in the IEEE Nano 2017 Steering Committee meeting held in Pittsburgh. In the morning, after visiting AMT, he visited MIT Professor Kazumi Wada (Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo) and gave a seminar lecture. He also exchanged information on current research activities and engaged in much discussion about future collaboration. Professor Wada had collaborated on quantum nanodisk with KAKENHI and other funding while he was at the University of Tokyo. Dr. Samukawa wants to deepen technical exchanges with Prof. Wada even after his return to MIT. After the meeting, they had dinner and a lively discussion on topics from a global perspective, such as the differences between research methods in Japan, the United States, and Taiwan.
