Dr. Samukawa gives invited lecture at 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics (Chengdu, China) (Sept. 18-23, 2017)

Dr. Samukawa participated in the 1st Asia-Pacific Conference on Plasma Physics held Sept. 18-23 and gave an invited lecture on Sept. 20.

This conference is an international conference on plasma physics focusing on nuclear fusion. This is the first conference in Asia to gather researchers from a wide range of fields, such as process plasma and outer space, to discuss plasma physics. There were more than 600 participants and it was a huge success, so it seems it will be held next time in Japan.

Dr. Samukawa's talk on neutral particle beams was also new to plasma physics researchers, and he received many questions on future possibilities.

Also, Dr. Samukawa was happy to reunite with many old friends. He was able to have discussions with many friends, including Mr. Hayashi of Toshiba and Prof. Shinohara of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
