On June 24th, 29 students from the Tohoku University STEM Summer Program (undergraduate students from the University of Washington and other universities) visited the Institute of Fluid Science.
Tohoku University organized this program as a short-term internship program for international students studying science and engineering. The students first attended a lecture on the fundamentals of aircraft design by Associate Professor Abe, followed by a visit to the experimental facility for cavitation flows presented by Professor Iga and Associate Professor Okajima. The IFS Workshop was then introduced by Technical Services staffs.
Throughout the visit, students asked many questions, demonstrating their strong interest in the subject.
