On June 22nd, 19 students from the Tohoku University STEM Summer Program (undergraduate students from the University of Washington and other universities) visited the Institute of Fluid Science.
Tohoku University organized this program as a short-term internship program for international students studying science and engineering. The students first attended a lecture on the fundamentals of aircraft design, followed by a visit to the 3D visualization facility of Realization Workspace. Afterwards, the wind tunnel facility was introduced. The students experienced measuring the wing surface pressure of a large aircraft model and watched a live wind tunnel demonstration.
Throughout the visit, students asked many questions, demonstrating their strong interest in the subject.
