Professor Yiguang Ju Receives the 2026 Tohoku University International Award for Science and Technology
On October 3, 2026, Professor Yiguang Ju, a Distinguished Professor (Visiting) at the Institute of Fluid Science (IFS), received the 2026 Tohoku University International Award for Science and Technology. The award ceremony was held during Tohoku University’s 119th Anniversary Homecoming Day.
Professor Ju earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University and subsequently engaged in research and education at IFS and the Graduate School of Engineering. He currently holds the Robert Porter Patterson Professorship at Princeton University in the United States and is internationally recognized for his contributions to combustion science, plasma science, and clean energy research.
The award recognizes his outstanding research achievements and international reputation in these fields.
Professor Ju joined IFS in November 2025 as a Distinguished Professor (Visiting) under the International Excellence Researcher program and has been contributing to research activities aimed at establishing an international research hub for decarbonization.
